Welcome
to my homepage!
By way of
brief introduction, I am a licensed mental health counselor and
psychotherapist dedicated to helping people gain the psychological
freedom necessary to find and make real their deepest needs and
wants.
For many
people, ingrained patterns of thinking and feeling stand in the
way. The resulting frustration can be felt as anxiety or
depression, or experienced as inhibition, relational problems, and
so forth. Chronic frustration causes us to lose our feeling of
aliveness, and sense of meaning. When blockages are removed, we
regain much of the freedom we had as children - to play, to be
creative, to take joy in the world.
My
perspective is ecological and holistic.
I encourage our considering each of the many factors –
environmental, cultural, relational and personal – influencing your
way of experiencing and living in this postmodern world. I have
found that the psychoanalytic method serves many people well in
undertaking such an exploration, and may recommend it as the best
means to further your psychological liberation and personal growth.
I hope
the information on the Frequently Asked Questions page will amplify these introductory comments to your satisfaction.
